I took up the writing pen, seriously, in 2006 by entering the Star Trek Strange New Worlds Anthology contest. My entry didn’t make it into the book, but the experience solidified my long standing want to be a storyteller.
The works of Heinlein, and Asimov, along with other contemporary authors such as; Orson Scott Card, and Larry Niven have influenced me to strive for writing a strong speculative element and the affect of that element on characters in the grand tradition of golden age science fiction.
In 2011, I began self-publishing my work under the pen name, Jack Foehammer. In 2016, I started publis hung under the name Thomas J Rock.
